Breaking the Silence Support Group

Breaking the Silence is a free and confidential support group open to all adults who have experienced or witnessed any form of domestic violence.  Learn how to cope and relax, understand the cycle of violence, identify red flags, empower yourself and more.  No sign-up is required, come to as many sessions as you would like.  Children over the age of five are welcome to attend a Youth Support Group at the same time.

Breaking the Silence will meet every Tuesday from May 9th-June 13th from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at Family Support Center.

 A huge thank you to The Plus for hosting our kNOw MORE event again this year. It was an empowering event to commemorate Sexual Assault Awareness Event. The event was a huge success, thanks in great part to The Plus for providing such a perfect location. Thank you for supporting your community!

Thank you to our wonderful hosts from Clearwater Comedy: Mackenzie Bublitz, Cullen Ryan and Christina Wolff. Additional huge thank you's to the talented musicians and performers: Caitlin McGarvey, Sniffle Party, Lasa Anahata Tribal and Jerrika Mighelle and Elizabeth Steans. Thank you all for generously giving your time and talent, which added so much to this empowering event.

Thank you to all of the agencies who provided important information at the resource fair during the kNOw MORE event last night. Thank you to UW-EC Student Health Services, Hmong Mutual Assistance Association, Eau Claire City-County Health Dept., Chippewa Valley Child Advocacy Center, AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, Bolton Refuge House & Q2 (LGBTQ+youth group). Thank you for being an important part of the kNOw MORE event, and for your continued service and dedication.

 

Thank you to all of the businesses who donated prizes for this year's kNOw MORE event at The Plus. We appreciate your generosity.  Thank you to those of you who donated new socks and underwear for programs serving survivors. Your donation is appreciated.
